Someday I will have time again for more lengthy and better written blog posts, but that time is not now...:P
New things Emma is doing at 13 months of age?
saying "woof woof!"
taking off her diaper
wiping herself off with her baby wipes
sitting in booster seats/high chairs at restaurants, and shopping carts without making a scene
adjusting to her new bedtime routine very well (we no longer rock her to sleep.....it wasn't working very well anymore and she was waking up a lot.) So we developed a routine of reading 2 books, singing 2 songs, and then giving kisses and "love you`'s" before laying her down wide awake. The first night she cried for an hour and 15 minutes before falling asleep, night 2 was only 30 minutes, and from then on she averages around 5-8 minutes of some sing-songy waa's before going to sleep. And she's been getting up only once or not at all since! The first 2 nights were hard, really hard, but I'm so glad we did it. As of last week we now do the same for naps.
What else, what else?.... She loves taking care of her babies and carries on full conversations with herself that only she can understand. She loves to talk and socialize with people after a minute or two of shy smiling. She is still quite a mama's girl:)
Oh my goodness she is so much fun:) There is so much more that happens every day I just can't even remember it all and I'm terrible at writing things down. (I feel bad for our future children)
