Ice Days!!!

Well it's my second day home from work and I'm feeling fairly accomplished. Yesterday I got caught up on laundry and got the house straightened up. Today I've focused more on fun stuff like baking and organizing and sorting through stuff:) I've come to realize that I have a problem, with clutter that it, I am constantly going through boxes, cupboards, closets and such finding things to re-organize and things to toss. Sometimes it's because a particular drawer or shelf is bothering me and sometimes it's just something fun to do when I'm bored. I know, I'm weird'-)
The next problem I'm running into is that at 26 (almost 27) weeks pregnant none of my tshirts fit me anymore:( And I am a HUGE tshirt fan. They're so comfy and easy to throw on and are my go-to on my days off and once I get home from work each day. The other day one of RJ's shirts was handy so I through it on and it was quite comfy. Today, I confess I've done the same. It's wonderful!:) And yet I always made fun of mom when she would where dad's clothes......
Speaking of pregnancy news, last weekend we got our baby registries started! Yay! We involved almost the whole family, and were quite the troop walking down each and every aisle of Babies R Us and through the baby section at Target:) All in all it was really fun and although we were a bit overwhelmed, we stayed on task pretty well and got a really good start! It made the pregnancy feel all the more real and made me even more ready to meet the precious little one who will be snuggled up in the cute little clothes and blankies we saw:):)
I hope everyone is staying healthy and warm during this cruddy winter weather, I will be soooo ready for spring when it gets here!

Update on Baby Van Dyke~ a.k.a. the "mini van"

As of our ultrasound on Monday, the 11th; baby is about 1 pound and 11 ounces!! I am 25 weeks along and nearing the last trimester, yay!!! Baby was head down, which leaves those little hands and feet (there were 2 of each I am happy to report:) up and punching/kicking vigorously. Baby Van Dyke is most active when I lay down in the evenings and in bed, but most mornings I wake up to flutterings as well. I'm now able to feel movement during the day also, but we are convinced baby has days and nights confused right now and enjoys being rocked to sleep all day while mommy walks around working and such.
Not only did we get to see the normal ultrasound pictures, but we were also able to get a few 3-D pics as well which totally blew our minds! You could see the shape of his or her little face and everything!! I am in LOVE:) And I'm not the only one:) RJ is in awe as well; and his parents have enjoyed "showing off" their grandbaby's pictures too.
Well it is getting harder each day to bend over, and I'm starting to feel as if something is squishing my air supply a bit when I'm sitting in a certain position. Which I know will only continue to get worse as I get bigger, so I'll try and enjoy the freedom of movement and breathing that I have while I have it. I will also try to get a couple of pics of baby and belly up soon. Take care all!

Welcome!

So with 2010 off and running, one of my goals for the year is to get back into journaling. I've also really enjoyed following the blogs of several of my friends and family. I think this could be a great way for me to combine keeping in touch with all those in our lives as well as my desire to share my thoughts and feelings. 2010 will be a big year for our new little family and hopefully a wonderful and happy one. I thank God for all He has blessed me with and how He continues to walk with me and show me, teach me, and be with me.
And with that said: off we go!! Happy blogging to me!!!!
