Hello again!

Gosh, I didn't realize it had been this long since I last posted!
Lot's going on around here, but nothing big. We had a sad end to October as little Alf had to go back home. He and Otto were NOT getting along and while we expected this reaction out of our cat, we did NOT expect the reaction out of Alf that we got. For a dog that is supposedly "good with cats," he acted like he would rip Otto apart if Otto hadn't stayed high and out of reach! And as we didn't want to leave Otto locked down in the basement and Alfie locked upstairs, and knowing Otto has no claws to defend himself SHOULD they "get together," I decided to take the new pooch back. It only seemed fair as Otto has been here for 3 years and was our first pet as a married couple. Hopefully he finds a great, loving home; he was SOOO good with Emma and would make a super little companion!
Anywho, the holiday season is quickly approaching and tomorrow we will be celebrating Thanksgiving in Carroll with our family there. It should be a great time having the whole family together, but I am also realizing how hard of a time it will be for everyone as Rj's Uncle Mike who is fighting a rapidly spreading bone cancer, will be with us. We are so happy that he can be with us this weekend, but do not look forward to seeing him in pain. We continue to pray for a miracle for him, although it's looking like this could be the last time we see him:( We want to especially lift up Grandma Joni as seeing her baby boy suffering like this is really taking it's toll on this sweet little lady who has already suffered so much loss. And I can't IMAGINE having to see my child suffering!
We continue to give thanks for all of the wonderful blessings we have been given, and pray that more than ever all our friends and loved ones would feel the love of God surround them and know Him more and more!
